The William Woodward Jr. Nursery School describes a child-centered, play-based approach focused on nurturing each child’s social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development in a warm, supportive environment. Teachers aim to build competence, self-confidence, and growing independence through hands-on exploration, responsive classroom routines, and activities tailored to children’s developmental needs and interests. Woodward says it welcomes applicants who meet the age requirements for the current school year, and that applications for the following school year become available the day after Labor Day. (wwjns.org) To apply, families submit the Woodward application form, a current family photo, and a $75 application fee by check or Zelle, sent by email or mail; after materials are received, the school contacts families about next steps, tours, and visits. (wwjns.org) The posted age minimums are 2.0 for Little Stars, 2.9 for Rainbow, and 3.9 for Explorers Pre-K in the year of entry. (wwjns.org) For priority, the school states that siblings and legacies are taken into consideration. (wwjns.org) I did not find a published waitlist policy, application deadline, or decision-release timeline on the admissions pages I reviewed, so those details do not appear to be publicly specified on the website.
