Dominion Christian School describes its approach as classical Christian education aimed at glorifying and enjoying God by “thinking deeply, living virtuously, and loving rightly,” shaped by Augustine’s idea of rightly-ordered loves. Academically, it follows the classical trivium (grammar–logic–rhetoric), emphasizing memorization and foundational knowledge in early grades, reasoning and “connecting the dots” in middle grades, and clear, persuasive expression in upper grades. Instruction draws heavily from great books and discussion while integrating Bible and Scripture with the humanities, math, and science so students interpret both God’s Word and God’s world coherently.

Dominion Christian School asks families to start by visiting the school (tours are scheduled through the “Visit Us” page), and applicants for grades 7–12 are encouraged to schedule a student “shadow” visit. (dominionschool.com) Families then submit the online application (with fee), after which Dominion collects required materials such as academic recommendations, a spiritual/social reference, and prior school records (with homeschool applicants asked to include a class/grade list and standardized test copies). (dominionschool.com) Applicants complete admissions testing (K–6: developmental or language arts/math assessment; grades 7–12: ISEE), and then the school conducts a family interview (both parents, and the student for grades 7–12) before making a decision. (dominionschool.com) Key dates noted on the site include: applicants who complete the full process by January 31 are notified in mid-February, and after that the school reviews applications on a rolling basis (monthly) for remaining openings; kindergarten eligibility requires turning 5 by September 1. (dominionschool.com) The website does not describe a formal waitlist process or any priority/legacy/sibling preference categories; it frames decisions as based on admissions criteria and available vacancies, so families may need to contact the admissions office to confirm whether waitlists or priorities apply for a given grade/year. No, we don't. But we do offer clubs that occur after school from time to time. We will also be glad to recommend a few places that do should this be something your family needs.
