Cobble Hill Playschool, Inc.

Cobble Hill Playschool describes its philosophy as inquiry-driven and play-based, with a child-centered approach that supports each child’s physical, emotional, social, and intellectual growth. Its curriculum is integrated across art, music, drama, literacy, math, science, and social-emotional learning, giving children active roles in their own education while emphasizing creativity, collaboration, kindness, and community.

Cobble Hill Playschool says admissions are first-come, first-served, and a child’s place on the applicant list is set by the date the application is received once the family has also attended a tour. (cobblehillplayschool.com) To apply, families are asked to review the school’s Schedules & Tuition and Immunization Policy, complete the appropriate online application for the Twos or Threes/Fours program, and pay a $100 non-refundable, non-transferable application fee. (cobblehillplayschool.com) The published eligibility cutoffs for the 2026-27 cycle are: Twos for children who turn 2 by September 14, 2026 (with a note to call if born in late September or October), and Threes/Fours for children who turn 3 or 4 by December 31, 2026; the school’s immunization policy also states children must meet NYC vaccination requirements and submit a physician-certified medical form/physical dated within 12 months before the school year starts. (cobblehillplayschool.com) Priority goes to returning students, siblings, and alumni families. (cobblehillplayschool.com) For timing, the school says notifications for toured applicants begin in January only if a space can be offered; otherwise applicants stay on the waitlist until enrollment closes in mid-August, and if no space opens by then, the application automatically rolls over to the next school year without requiring a new application.
