Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Families apply to The Oaks Academy (including the Brookside lower-school campus for K–5) through the school’s online application portal, and the school strongly encourages starting by scheduling a tour or admissions event. (theoaksacademy.org) Applications open October 1 each year; the early decision deadline is December 1 and the regular decision deadline is March 1, with decisions rolling after March 1 as space is available (early decision decisions by mid-January/end of January; regular decisions in April). (theoaksacademy.org) Required items include a $50 non-refundable application fee and documents such as a birth certificate and immunization records (plus prior school records in some cases), and applicants must complete admissions testing/assessments appropriate to grade level (readiness assessments for Pre-K/K/1; NWEA admissions assessment for grades 2–8, with possible waivers based on prior standardized testing). (theoaksacademy.org) K–5 applicants can indicate Brookside as their preferred lower-school campus during the application process, and (unless the family requests otherwise) they are considered only for the campus selected. (theoaksacademy.org) If a grade fills, qualified applicants may be placed into a “wait pool” ordered by the date the application is complete (including required documents and assessments); the wait pool does not carry over year to year, and the website does not list additional priority categories beyond this ordering description.
