Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Horizon Christian School encourages families to start the application process in January for the following school year, and applications are not considered until all required steps and supplemental information are complete. To apply, families first meet with the Director of Admissions, then submit an online application through the school’s FACTS/RenWeb portal and pay a $30 non-refundable application fee. Applicants must also provide required documents (birth certificate, immunization records, prior two years of academic/behavior/attendance records and any IEP/ISP/504 or psychological testing if applicable, plus a Home Language Survey); students may shadow for a day, middle/high school students meet with the Head of School, and placement exams may be required. Admissions criteria emphasize that families will support biblical instruction and school policies, and that students demonstrate appropriate conduct and academic readiness (including being at grade level, promoted, and meeting testing/GPA expectations such as a 2.5+ GPA and applicable Indiana assessments). If a grade is full (not listed on the application page), families can join a waitlist via an online form (one per student), but placement is not guaranteed; the site also describes priority timing for enrollment as current-student automatic reenrollment first, then sibling open enrollment, then general open enrollment, with the posted example dates shown for 2025 (Auto: Feb 15, 2025; Sibling: Jan 6–Feb 16, 2025; Open: March 1, 2025).
