Union Elementary School (Zionsville Community Schools) enrolls students through ZCS’s online new-student enrollment in PowerSchool; enrollment is complete once the online forms and required documentation are submitted (with an option to upload documents during the process). (zcs.k12.in.us) To enroll, families must live within ZCS district boundaries and provide proof of residency (two current utility bills, or one utility bill plus a signed lease/purchase/closing/builder letter), a state-issued birth certificate or passport, and immunization records (all documentation is subject to verification). (zcs.k12.in.us) For kindergarten, families begin with Kindergarten Pre-Registration in PowerSchool and then receive instructions from the building principal to sign up for Kindergarten Round-Up; the district’s kindergarten page lists Round-Up on March 24, 2025 and the first day of school as August 4, 2026. (zcs.k12.in.us) The district’s K–4 enrollment pages do not describe a waitlist or priority categories beyond residency/boundary assignment, but ZCS Universal Preschool (located in the elementary buildings) uses priorities, a lottery, and a waitlist if demand exceeds seats. (zcs.k12.in.us) For Universal Preschool 2026–27 specifically, the Intent-to-Enroll deadline is December 31, 2025; seats are filled first by ZCS staff and returning families, remaining seats go to a lottery on January 27, 2026 (with notifications by January 30), and children not selected are automatically placed on a waitlist, followed by ZCS PowerSchool pre-registration in March and final PowerSchool registration in May.
