Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

Cardozo Education Campus is a DCPS school; students who have a right-to-attend seat (based on DCPS attendance boundaries/rights) can enroll directly by completing the DCPS enrollment packet (online or paper) and submitting it to the school with required documentation. (enrolldcps.dc.gov) Out-of-boundary applicants apply through the My School DC common lottery for SY2026–27 (application opened December 15, 2025; Grades 9–12 deadline was February 2, 2026; results and waitlist positions are released March 27, 2026; and families must enroll by May 1, 2026 to keep a lottery match). (enrolldcps.dc.gov) To enroll after a match/offer, families must provide proof of DC residency (and, if new to DCPS, proof of age) and complete required health/immunization forms by the first day of school. (enrolldcps.dc.gov) If demand exceeds seats, a waitlist is created; waitlists are ordered by any applicable preference group first and then by random lottery number, with post-lottery applicants added below lottery applicants (generally ordered by submission date within the appropriate preference group), and waitlists do not carry over year to year. (myschooldc.org) Cardozo’s My School DC priority categories (lottery preferences) are Sibling Attending and Sibling Offered; if you accept a waitlist offer by enrolling, you are removed from waitlists for schools ranked below the school you accepted.
