Clay Center Elementary enrollment is handled through Carmel Clay Schools’ district registration process: families complete the online registration packet in PowerSchool and follow the posted registration instructions, then submit required documentation to finalize enrollment. (ccs.k12.in.us) Required documents include an official birth certificate or passport, immunization records, proof of residency (specified housing document plus a gas/electric utility bill), and a government-issued photo ID (plus guardianship/custody paperwork if the enrolling adult is not the biological parent). (ccs.k12.in.us) For the 2026–2027 school year, kindergarten enrollment begins January 12, 2026, and children are eligible if they turn 5 on or before August 1 of the enrolling year (with an early-entrance waiver process described for some students who will be 5 by October 1). (ccs.k12.in.us) Students are generally assigned to schools by geographic attendance boundaries; in-district transfer (boundary exception) requests are not guaranteed and are considered based on eligibility and space availability, with eligibility categories including mid-year relocation within the district, certain grade transitions after consistent attendance, siblings of students receiving special services, children of CCS employees, and specific middle-school options for students from the Clay Center boundary. (ccs.k12.in.us) The pages reviewed do not describe any waitlist process for Clay Center Elementary enrollment; transfer approvals/denials are issued in writing. (ccs.k12.in.us)
