St. Malachy Catholic School notes that applications for the 2026–2027 school year are currently closed because all grade levels have reached full enrollment, and families are encouraged to check back for future opportunities. (stmalachy.org) To apply when admissions are open, new families complete the enrollment/admission forms and have a conference with the principal (parents and student), and the school may also request a written statement explaining why the family is seeking enrollment. (account-media.s3.amazonaws.com) Applicants are expected to provide prior school records (e.g., report cards/transcripts, standardized test results, and any IEP/504/related plans) plus updated immunization records; the principal may require entrance testing, and grades 6–8 applicants may be asked for recommendation letters, with transfer students also needing to resolve any prior-school financial obligations. (account-media.s3.amazonaws.com) The policy says acceptance letters are mailed/emailed by the last Monday of February, and once admitted students must participate in religion classes and liturgies, follow school rules/handbook expectations, and new students are placed on a trial period of at least one semester. (account-media.s3.amazonaws.com) If space is limited, placements (and any waiting list) use priority categories: for Kindergarten, priority is (1) sibling currently enrolled + active parishioner, (2) active parishioner, (3) sibling currently enrolled without active-parishioner status, then (4) all others; for grades 1–8, priority is (1) returning students, (2) active-parishioner students not previously enrolled, (3) non-parishioner families with students enrolled the previous year, then (4) all others, with ties broken by the order applications are received.
