Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

School Without Walls HS requires families to apply through the My School DC online application (or by phone via the My School DC Hotline if needed). (swwhs.org) Applicants must upload required documents in the My School DC application, including the student’s transcript/final report card from the prior school year, and Walls also requires recommendation letters; students must have at least a 3.0 GPA to be eligible to move forward to an interview, and an essay is required if the student is invited to interview. (swwhs.org) For SY 2026–2027, the Walls/My School DC application window listed is December 15, 2025 through February 2, 2026; interviews are scheduled for February 21 and February 28, 2026; and results are posted March 27, 2026, followed by enrollment through May 1, 2026 (the deadline to accept/enroll). (swwhs.org) If an admitted student does not enroll by May 1, 2026, the seat is released, and if seats open up, offers go to waitlisted students in waitlist order. (swwhs.org) On “priority categories,” My School DC states that DCPS selective high schools/programs do not offer lottery preferences (e.g., no in-boundary/proximity/sibling preference priority groups), so selection is based on Walls’ criteria plus the lottery process without preference categories.
