Teaching Approach

Updated 8mo ago

Trinity Christian School’s teaching approach is to educate students “to the glory of God” by pursuing excellence for both mind and heart, with truth grounded in God’s Word (written and incarnate). It aims to form students’ character as well as academics by instilling courage to live out biblical truth and inspiring service modeled after Christ. Instruction emphasizes thinking biblically about all of life and learning from faculty who see students as image-bearers of Christ.

Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

Trinity Christian School of Fairfax directs families to apply through its online Veracross Admission Portal by creating an applicant profile, answering initial questions, and paying a nonrefundable application fee, then completing the remaining checklist items in the portal. (tcsfairfax.org) To complete the application, families submit supporting materials such as church and teacher recommendations, standardized test scores, report cards, a birth certificate or passport, and health forms; homeschool applicants must also provide a detailed curriculum list, and applicants with learning differences may need to submit 504/IEP documentation and diagnostic testing. (tcsfairfax.org) All applicants take entrance testing (K–4 are tested at Trinity, while Grades 5–12 take the ISEE), and the process includes parent interview(s) with school leadership plus interviews for Upper School (Grades 7–12) applicants. (tcsfairfax.org) For Fall 2026 priority consideration, Trinity lists a completed-application deadline of November 6, 2025 (Kindergarten; decisions November 13, 2025) and February 12, 2026 (Grades 1–12; decisions March 3, 2026); the Kindergarten page also notes the portal opening September 1 (for the 2026–2027 school year), Kindergarten Readiness Assessment dates of October 23 or November 4, 2025, and an enrollment/deposit deadline of November 20, 2025 for accepted kindergarten students. (tcsfairfax.org) Applications submitted after the priority deadlines are reviewed on a rolling basis (space-available), and enrollment is finalized by signing the enrollment agreement and paying required fees/deposit through the enrollment portal. (tcsfairfax.org) If there is no space, qualified applicants may be waitlisted (typically communicated by email) and are contacted if a seat opens; Trinity notes the waitlist can remain active through the school year, and it publicly describes “priority” in terms of meeting posted deadlines rather than listing separate preference categories (e.g., sibling/alumni/staff) on its admissions pages.
