All Souls School

All Souls School describes a child-centered early childhood approach that builds on each child’s strengths, interests, and experiences in a diverse, nurturing community. Its teaching emphasizes play, inquiry, reflection, and documentation, with teachers designing curriculum around how children learn and what they are curious about. The school says its philosophy is influenced by Bank Street developmental-interaction, Reggio Emilia, and emergent curriculum, with the goal of helping children become thoughtful, active, responsible learners.

For All Souls School’s published 2026-2027 nursery-school cycle, children had to turn 2 by September 1, 2026, and families applied online between September 1 and November 1, 2025; the school says it does not accept application requests by phone, fax, letter, voicemail, email, or walk-in, and the fee is $75. (allsoulsschoolnyc.org) The required steps shown on the site are: submit the online application, watch the virtual tour, optionally join a small-group Q&A video chat, take a required in-person parent tour, and attend a child playgroup with one parent; the checklist also says families must submit all required application elements, including additional applicant information, a family photo, and short-answer questions, before the video chat and parent tour can be scheduled. (allsoulsschoolnyc.org) Key posted dates include July 1 for the online inquiry form, September 1 for the application opening, September 25 for the admissions info session, November 1 for the application deadline, December 5 for Early Notification, December 12 for the Early Notification reply deadline, February 26, 2026 for Regular Notification, and March 5, 2026 for the regular reply deadline; tuition-assistance deadlines were November 15, 2025 for Early Notification applicants and January 9, 2026 for regular applicants. (allsoulsschoolnyc.org) On waitlists, I did not find a public nursery-school waitlist policy on the admissions pages; the closest related note is that All Souls may stop accepting applications before November 1 if anticipated openings in certain age groups are limited. (allsoulsschoolnyc.org) On priority categories, I did not find a public list of admissions priorities on the nursery-school admissions pages, and the site specifically says the separate NIDO toddler program does not imply, guarantee, or prioritize admission to the nursery-school program.
