New Britton Elementary (Hamilton Southeastern Schools) uses the district’s PK–12 enrollment process: families first use their home address to determine the assigned school, then gather required documents, create/enter a Skyward Family Access account, and complete the online enrollment steps (new families start with a “New Student Account Request Form”; existing families add a student via “New Student Online Enrollment”). Required items include a state-issued birth certificate, parent/guardian photo ID, custody/guardianship paperwork if applicable, three proofs of residency, and current immunization records; kindergarten eligibility is age 5 by August 1, 2026, with “early entrance” applications (for students turning 5 by September 30, 2026) accepted February 1–August 1, 2026. Key dates shown include: kindergarten enrollment opening January 20, 2026 (for the 2026–2027 school year), HSE Preschool enrollment opening February 13, 2026 and closing February 20, 2026, and non-resident transfer applications accepted February 27, 2026 through January 15, 2027 (submit by April 17, 2026 for priority consideration; applicants who applied February 27–April 17 are notified on or before May 8). Non-resident transfers are no-tuition but capacity-based by school/grade (the district lists K–4 vacancies for New Britton), and applicants not selected due to capacity are placed on a waitlist and contacted if seats open; after April 17, review is rolling/first-come if capacity remains. Priority/eligibility categories described include (1) residents assigned to the school based on address boundaries, (2) approved non-resident transfers who meet the district’s eligibility criteria and available capacity, and (3) students of HSE employees applying under the Employee Student Transfer policy (priority deadline January 30, 2026; notification on or before February 27, 2026).
