Admissions

For Mater Brickell Academy (Middle School grades 6–8), families apply online through the school’s “Apply Now” page; current Mater Brickell students do not need to reapply, but all new applicants (including siblings) must submit an application for the correct incoming school year. (materbrickell.com) Applications for the 2026–2027 school year are stated to open the first week of October, and the school’s handbook also notes that applications for the following school year are available by November 15, with acceptance notifications beginning on or around February 15. (materbrickell.com) Enrollment offers are determined by a random lottery; after the lottery, offers may be extended on a rolling basis as seats open or are declined. (materbrickell.com) Priority/automatic admission (not required to participate in the lottery if the “Intent to Return” is completed prior to the lottery date) is listed for: currently enrolled students, siblings of enrolled/accepted students, children of employees, children of governing board members, and children of active-duty U.S. Armed Forces members (with different limits noted if the school is a federal grant recipient during an active grant period). (materbrickell.com) Waitlists are created from the remaining lottery numbers in the order drawn; families are contacted in rank order as openings arise, typically have 48 hours to accept and complete required enrollment documentation, and non-responders are removed and must reapply.
