College Wood Elementary (Carmel Clay Schools) assigns students to schools primarily by geographic attendance boundaries; families should confirm their assigned school using the district boundary map and then complete the district’s PowerSchool Online Registration packet. (ccs.k12.in.us) Registration requires documentation such as an official birth certificate (or passport), immunization records, parent/guardian photo ID, proof of residency (a housing document plus a gas/electric utility bill), and guardianship/custody paperwork if applicable. (ccs.k12.in.us) For kindergarten, 2026–2027 enrollment opens January 12, 2026; children are eligible if they turn 5 on or before August 1 of the enrolling year, with an early-entrance waiver process available for some children who turn 5 by October 1. (ccs.k12.in.us) If requesting a school outside the assigned boundary (in-district transfer/residency exception), CCS considers only specific eligibility categories (e.g., certain mid-year moves, students entering 5th/8th grade after multiple years, siblings of students receiving special services at a designated school, and children of CCS employees) and does not provide transportation for approved transfers. (ccs.k12.in.us) Transfer decisions are based on eligibility plus space/program availability and are provided in writing (processing typically takes 10–14 days); the CCS pages reviewed do not describe a waitlist or lottery process for College Wood admissions.
