Trailside Elementary follows Zionsville Community Schools (ZCS) enrollment: families must reside within ZCS district boundaries (Eagle or Union Township), and ZCS states it does not accept tuition for out-of-district students. (zcs.k12.in.us) To apply, complete online pre-registration in PowerSchool via the ZCS “New Students” page (enrollment is considered complete once the online forms and required documentation are submitted/uploaded). (zcs.k12.in.us) Requirements listed include proof of residency (two current, different utility bills, or one utility bill plus a signed lease/purchase/closing/builder letter), a state-issued birth certificate or current passport, and immunization records (with secondary students encouraged to also provide recent report cards/test scores/transcripts if available). (zcs.k12.in.us) For kindergarten specifically, ZCS notes pre-registration is done first in PowerSchool, then families receive directions from the principal to sign up for a Kindergarten Round-Up session; the kindergarten page lists the first day of school as August 4, 2026, and the age cutoff as turning 5 by August 1, 2026 (Round-Up is listed as Tuesday, March 24, 2025). (zcs.k12.in.us) ZCS does not describe an admissions waitlist or any priority categories for elementary enrollment beyond meeting residency/eligibility requirements, though it notes Round-Up event sign-up slots can fill quickly.
