Congregation Beth Elohim’s ECC describes its teaching approach as play-based and emergent, with curriculum growing from children’s interests, ideas, and experiences so they can explore, problem-solve, and participate as active learners. It emphasizes holistic development—social, emotional, physical, and cognitive growth—through exploration, nature, art, movement, and daily experiences, while Jewish learning is made accessible and relevant through songs, rituals, food, classroom projects, and values such as kindness, respect, and community. CBE’s Early Childhood Center says families apply through its TADS application portal, and the admissions page currently links tour options while also noting limited spots for the 2026-27 school year and directing inquiries to ecc@cbebk.org; the tours page also says families can email cbeecc@cbebk.org to schedule a tour. (cbebk.org) The basic eligibility requirement is age: the preschool serves children ages 2–5, and children must be 2 years old by September of their entering year. (cbebk.org) Key timeline items on the site are that prospective families are notified of admission status in early February, accepted families then have one week to accept their seat with a deposit and payment plan, and current families are invited to re-register in January. (cbebk.org) If a child does not receive a first-choice class, CBE says the child may be placed on the waitlist for the upcoming school year. (cbebk.org) For priority categories, the site says preference is given to CBE members and siblings of current students, and waitlist movement is handled on a rolling basis with offers reportedly made as late as August.
