Teaching Approach

Updated 8mo ago

Riverdale Baptist School emphasizes a Christ-centered, biblically based approach in which the Bible is treated as the authoritative foundation for both curricular and extracurricular programs. Its stated purpose is to help students know God, live by biblical principles, and serve and glorify God, while pursuing a balanced program that aims for excellence across spiritual, academic, physical, and social development. The school also frames its role as partnering with and strengthening the Christian home by assisting parents in guiding their children.

Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

Riverdale Baptist School asks families to begin by submitting an online inquiry and then completing an online application through its digital enrollment system (FACTS/RenWeb). After a complete application with required documents is received, the admissions office schedules entrance/readiness testing (readiness testing is required for all preschool applicants; DPK/PK age cutoffs are 3/4 years old by September 1, and kindergarten requires age 5 by September 1). Once testing and documents are in, the student completes a 30–45 minute interview, and families offered enrollment receive an email link to finalize the enrollment process. Posted timing items include open houses offered twice yearly (an in-person Open House is listed for March 18 from 9:00–11:00 a.m.) and returning-student re-enrollment windows (discounted “Early Bird” re-enrollment in January; open/full-price re-enrollment beginning February 1 each year). The website materials reviewed do not describe a formal waitlist process or any admissions priority categories.
