Bromwell directs families to apply through Denver Public Schools (DPS) SchoolChoice rather than a school-run application (see Bromwell’s “School Choice” page). (bromwell.dpsk12.org) For the 2026-27 school year, SchoolChoice Round 1 ran from 10 a.m. on December 2, 2025 to 4 p.m. on January 20, 2026; families apply by ranking preferred schools in the online SchoolChoice application, and results (including any waitlist placements) are released in late February. (schoolchoice.dpsk12.org) If you miss Round 1 (or want to re-explore options), Round 2 opens at 10 a.m. on March 10, 2026 and is processed first-come/first-served within priority groups; after the school receives the application, the student is placed on a waitlist while the school processes it, and a Round 2 acceptance replaces any Round 1 assignment (while you can remain on waitlists for higher-ranked schools). (schoolchoice.dpsk12.org) For early childhood (preschool), DPS notes ECE students must participate yearly, and ECE-4 requires both the Colorado UPK application (first matching round Dec. 9, 2025–Feb. 2, 2026) and a DPS SchoolChoice submission indicating intent to enroll. (dpsk12.org) Bromwell’s published priorities generally favor boundary residents (guaranteed in Round 1 only for grades K–5), then siblings already admitted, children of school employees, applicants from FRL-concentration areas, current ECE/continuity-of-care (where applicable), students impacted by school closures, then other district residents and finally non-district residents; each sibling must have a separate SchoolChoice application.
