The Jack And Jill School At St. George'S Church

The Jack and Jill School describes its teaching philosophy as play-based, hands-on, and centered on active child participation, with an emphasis on the whole child rather than just academic outcomes. It says children learn at their own pace in an individualized, child-directed curriculum shaped by students’ interests, while teachers use positive reinforcement and guided play to build confidence, cooperation, responsibility, and problem-solving skills. For preschool admissions, families apply through Ravenna, complete the application, and pay a $100 application fee; after that, the school invites families to a small-group parent tour with Director Jennifer Allen and then schedules an applicant playdate. (thejackandjillschool.org) The school says the preschool application cycle takes place in the fall before the entry year, with 2026-27 applications opening August 15; listed deadlines are November 21, 2025 for Early Admission and February 6, 2026 for Regular Admission. (thejackandjillschool.org) The website does not publish a formal waitlist policy or any explicit admissions priority categories; it only notes that spots for 2025-26 are limited and directs interested families to email Jennifer Allen.
