Geist Elementary enrolls students primarily through Hamilton Southeastern Schools’ PK–12 residential enrollment process: first use your home address to identify your assigned (“home”) school, then gather required documents, create/access your Skyward Family Access account, and complete the online enrollment application. Required items include a state-issued birth certificate, parent/guardian photo ID, custody/guardianship documents (if applicable), three proofs of residency, and current immunization records. Key dates called out on the site include: HSE Preschool enrollment for 2026–2027 opens February 13, 2026 and closes February 20, 2026; kindergarten requires age 5 by August 1, 2026; and early-entrance to kindergarten/first grade applications run February 1, 2026 through August 1, 2026. For capacity management, the district notes Geist continues to accept students for whom Geist is the home school (and is closed to Southeastern Elementary overflow). If you live outside district boundaries, you must apply via the district’s non-resident transfer process (priority consideration deadline April 17, 2026; applications accepted until January 15, 2027), and if capacity is full, applicants are placed on a waitlist as seats open; children of HSE employees may also request placement under the employee-student transfer policy, with priority consideration for 2026–2027 if submitted by January 30, 2026.
