Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Calvary Lutheran School’s admissions steps start by contacting the Director of Admissions to set up a meeting and tour, with an optional “Knight for a Day” visit (preferred for grades 4–8), then completing and submitting the online application form. The school’s process includes an interview with the principal and submitting prior-school academic, behavior, attendance, and testing records (for grades 1–8), and it requires health/immunization records plus a birth certificate. Entrance requirements also include age cutoffs of August 1 (age 3 for the 3–4s preschool class, age 4 for the 4–5s class, age 5 for kindergarten, and age 6 for 1st grade), plus kindergarten Gesell readiness testing (a fee is noted for non-Calvary preschool students) and brief teacher evaluations for incoming 1st–2nd graders. For timing, the school notes that (for the 2025–2026 cycle) re-enrollment for current students and siblings ran January 6–January 31, with open enrollment beginning February 1 for Preschool–8th, and it also says a summer mailing with back-to-school instructions arrives in early June. The site says families will receive notification of the child’s “position” as soon as possible, but it does not publish a detailed waitlist policy or priority categories beyond the earlier re-enrollment window for current students and siblings.
