Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Newby Elementary enrollment is based on your home address (the district directs families to identify their assigned elementary school using the elementary boundaries map) and families should contact the school office if they cannot attend scheduled enrollment events. (speedwayschools.org) For incoming kindergarteners, the district’s posted timeline is: attend Kindergarten Round-Up, complete in-person enrollment in July 2026, and start school on August 5, 2026. (speedwayschools.org) Kindergarten Round-Up is scheduled for Tuesday, April 21 (5:30–6:30 PM) for children entering kindergarten in Fall 2026 who will be age 5 on or before August 1. (files.smartsites.parentsquare.com) Indiana law requires an up-to-date immunization record on file for enrollment (the site links to the 2025–2026 school immunization requirements). (speedwayschools.org) The Newby Elementary page does not describe a waitlist process or any priority categories beyond assignment by address/“home school.” (speedwayschools.org)
