Admissions

Shamrock Springs Elementary enrolls students through Westfield Washington Schools’ online New Student Registration for families new to the district and/or children entering kindergarten, and families are directed to use the district’s Interactive Boundary Map to confirm their assigned school. Kindergarten eligibility is based on having a legal residence in Westfield Washington Schools and being age 5 on or before August 1 of the enrollment year. The online application requires proof documents such as an Indiana driver’s license/state ID with an in-district address, proof of residency (e.g., deed/lease/mortgage/building permit), a current utility bill, the child’s birth certificate, immunization records, and (if applicable) custody/guardianship papers and support-service plans (IEP/ILP/504). Incoming kindergarteners must complete a brief readiness screening (dates/sign-ups vary by school), and Shamrock Springs notes the “Getting to Know Your Child” form is completed during the child’s screening; families are also asked to complete a SafeVisitor background check ahead of school if they plan to visit/volunteer (processing may take up to 10 days). The district states there is no hard deadline and no waitlist/competition for registration, and it does not describe any additional priority categories beyond district residency/assigned-school boundaries and being a new student or incoming kindergartener.
