Lincoln Elementary (Brownsburg Community School Corporation) handles “admissions” through the district’s online enrollment process: families complete online enrollment forms and the enrollment is not considered complete until required documentation is provided to the registrar (uploaded electronically or delivered in person). Enrollment for kindergarten, preschool, and new students for the 2026–2027 school year opens online on March 2, 2026, and kindergarten applicants must be age 5 on or before August 1 (no early entrance is accepted). Required documents include a birth certificate, immunization records, proof of Brownsburg residency (e.g., utility bill/lease/closing paperwork; a driver’s license is not accepted), custody/guardianship papers if applicable, and the completed enrollment forms. For families who do not reside in-district, out-of-district enrollment is not guaranteed; if the School Board approves open enrollment, it is typically open for about one week in the summer, and families can join a notification/interest list to be alerted when applications are accepted. Priority is effectively given to in-district residents and the district states it will try to assign students to their home school, but it reserves the right to place students in another school to balance class sizes and meet program needs.
