Teaching Approach

Updated 8mo ago

From the Heart Christian School aims to provide a solid academic education within a framework of Christian principles rooted in the Bible, with spiritual formation integrated into classroom learning. They emphasize training students to know who they are from God’s perspective, develop themselves, and give of themselves through service, while keeping children “untainted” by the world’s system. Their Bible curriculum is intended to guide teachers at all grade levels and to weave the church’s foundational teachings into Bible classes and across academic subjects.

Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

From the Heart Christian School states it is open only to members of From the Heart Church Ministries, and enrollment is subject to at least one parent/legal guardian being a full member by the first day of the school year (after completing New Members Orientation and Perfecting Class) and completing the FTHCS Parental Agreement. (fthcs.org) Prospective families are directed to begin via the Prospective Parents admissions page (which includes an inquiry/intake form) and may also contact the school office by phone/email; the site also references completing a parental-agreement webinar. (fthcs.org) All prospective parents are required to interview as part of the application process (recommended that both parents attend), and the interview is conducted by a minister and a member of the school administration. (fthcs.org) The site lists required documents for the interview as the student’s birth certificate, proof of legal guardianship (if applicable), and proof of employment. (fthcs.org) The only explicit admissions date shown is an Open House for grades K3–12 scheduled for Friday, March 10, 2023 (with a request to RSVP by Friday, March 3, 2023); the website does not describe a waitlist process or any additional priority categories beyond church membership.
