Admissions

Updated 8mo ago

Roosevelt High School (DCPS) enrollment is handled through My School DC for families applying out-of-boundary and/or to specific programs (Roosevelt offers both a Traditional program and a Dual Language program, and you may apply to one or both). (myschooldc.org) For the 2026–27 school year, key dates include: My School DC lottery opens December 15, 2025; the Grades 9–12 application deadline was February 2, 2026 (11:59 p.m. ET); lottery results and initial waitlist positions are released March 27, 2026; and the lottery-match enrollment deadline is May 1, 2026 (applicants could also adjust school rankings until March 13, 2026 at 5 p.m.). (enrolldcps.dc.gov) The school’s website indicates families can enroll online or in person and should be prepared with proof of residency, transcripts/last report card, and updated immunizations; additionally, the Dual Language program requires a Spanish proficiency test prior to enrollment (Traditional does not). (theodorerooseveltdc.org) Waitlists are managed through My School DC (students matched to a lower-ranked choice are automatically waitlisted at higher-ranked choices, and enrolling at the matched school does not remove the student from other waitlists); families who missed the high-school deadline can submit a post-lottery application starting February 3, 2026. (myschooldc.org) The Roosevelt HS My School DC profile lists these lottery priority categories (preferences), in order: (1) Sibling Attending and (2) Sibling Offered. (myschooldc.org)
