Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Lumen Christi encourages prospective families to start by scheduling a school tour or student shadow day through the Admissions Director (Emily Rosko). (lumenchristischool.org) To apply, families download the appropriate PreK–8 or high school application, print it, and mail or drop it off at the school office; they also submit a nonrefundable $50 application fee (online or by check). (lumenchristischool.org) Admissions decisions are based on whether the student is likely to succeed academically (elementary: recent report card, teacher assessment, and sometimes school-administered testing; high school transfers: report cards/records, testing reports, and recommendation letters), and newly admitted students begin with a 12-week academic/deportment probation; families are also expected to support Catholic doctrine and morals and participate in the school’s Catholic formation. (lumenchristischool.org) When space is limited, priority is given first to current students who meet re-enrollment requirements and deadlines, then siblings (with space available), then children of Holy Rosary parishioners, then other applicants with preference for practicing Catholics; the admissions policy also lists key 2025-26 deadlines (e.g., current-family letter of intent/registration by Feb. 2; parish priority by Feb. 3; new-family priority by Feb. 16, with decisions by early/mid-March) and notes offers are typically held for one week, after which seats may be offered to lower-priority applicants (and registration/registration deposits are used to hold a spot). (lumenchristischool.org) If a class is full, applicants are placed on a waiting list and admitted as space opens according to the same priorities, and families are asked to notify the school promptly if they commit elsewhere; separately, the school notes that FACTS financial-aid applications for 2026-27 must be completed by March 20, 2026 to be guaranteed consideration.
