Smith Street Maternelle

Smith Street Workshop describes its teaching philosophy as rooted in progressive education, emphasizing respect for children as learners and recognizing that students learn at different rates and in different ways. It focuses on building confidence, curiosity, and optimism around difficult concepts, while helping students reframe “not knowing” as a natural part of learning and tailoring instruction to each child’s next stage of growth.
