Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Families begin by submitting an online inquiry, then scheduling a tour, completing the school’s online application (FACTS/RenWeb), and participating in a family interview/student visit; students age 3+ visit a class and/or complete an assessment, and decisions are typically communicated about one week after the application and visit are complete. If admitted, the school shares enrollment paperwork, and a student may start about two weeks after enrollment paperwork is fully submitted. Key timing information shared online includes that the school year generally runs August through late May/early June, and several eligibility cutoffs are based on August 1 (e.g., kindergarten requires a child to be 5 by August 1; preschool classroom age cutoffs are also listed using August 1, with some using October 1). The school’s published admissions policy says it prioritizes admitting Jewish students; it also states early childhood through kindergarten is open to everyone, while grades 1–8 are for families with at least one Jewish parent (the FAQs also state students must have one Jewish parent to be eligible). Prior Hebrew knowledge is not required, and new students with limited/no Hebrew are paired with a Hebrew teacher to help them catch up. The website does not describe an admissions waitlist process or any additional priority categories beyond the stated Jewish-priority/eligibility policy.
