Admissions

St. Roch Catholic School directs prospective families to begin enrollment by working with the school office/admissions contact (the website lists a School Admissions Coordinator, Stephanie Littell) to complete required enrollment/admission forms. (strochindy.org) Eligibility is tied to age/grade readiness: preschool applicants must be 4 and kindergarten applicants 5 years old by August 1 of the enrolling school year, and grades 1–8 require proof of successful completion of the prior grade. (strochindy.org) The handbook describes admissions as tied to an annual spring registration timeline (specific calendar dates are not provided in the handbook) and notes that transfer admission may require a principal conference plus prior records (e.g., report card/transcripts, testing results, IEP/504/ICEP if applicable) and updated immunization records; entrance testing may be required if records are missing or concerns exist. (strochindy.org) If students are not selected due to capacity limits, they are automatically placed on a waitlist; offers from the waitlist follow the same priority order, and the waitlist is only for that school year (it ends when the school year ends). (strochindy.org) Priority categories listed include (in order) current students; Catholic children of parishioners (with “participating parishioners” prioritized, including sibling/graduate relationships); then other Catholic/non-Catholic applicants, with separate categories for prior-year SGO/voucher students and voucher students (a lottery may be used for some voucher categories if no seats are available); a registration fee is due at the time of registration, and unpaid registration items/balances by August 1 may result in students being dropped from the class list.
