Apex Friendship Elementary admissions follow WCPSS “base school” enrollment: use the district address look-up tool to confirm your base school, complete the online enrollment form, and then wait for the school to contact you with next steps to finalize enrollment. (wcpss.net) To complete enrollment, families typically provide a certified birth certificate, proof of Wake County domicile (e.g., recent utility bill/lease/settlement statement or limited offer-to-purchase use), a parent/guardian photo ID, immunization record, and any custody documents; new public-school students in NC must also submit an N.C. Health Assessment (within 12 months of starting) and required vaccinations. (wcpss.net) Because Apex Friendship Elementary is capped (cap date Feb. 21, 2023), if no seat is available the base school sends paperwork to an overflow school for enrollment and the student is placed on a waitlist for the capped school; students must be enrolled in WCPSS and remain in the base area to stay on the waitlist. (wcpss.net) If a seat opens, the capped school may call at mid-year (end of second quarter) or before the new school year; declining a summer seat offer means losing district bus service and being removed from the waitlist. (wcpss.net) Priority/eligibility categories specifically listed for capped schools include rising kindergarten students who lived in the base area before the cap date (pre-enroll before March 1 to avoid overflow) and children of full-time WCPSS employees who work at the capped school; district key dates shown for enrollment/assignment include kindergarten pre-registration opening Oct. 15, 2025 and the transfer application window March 2–13, 2026.
