Teaching Approach

Updated 7mo ago

Stevens Elementary frames learning through its partnership with EL Education, aiming to develop students academically while also nurturing social-emotional growth so they can become caring leaders and active contributors to a better world. The school emphasizes a “We Are Crew” culture (CREW), building an authentic community where students are known by name, strength, and need, and where everyone shares responsibility for helping all students thrive. Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Stevens Elementary uses Jeffco Public Schools’ EnrollJeffco system: families create/login to an EnrollJeffco account, add the student, and submit enrollment for their neighborhood (“projected”) school or choice-enroll at another school (up to three school applications per student). (stevens.jeffcopublicschools.org) For the 2026–27 school year, the site lists Round 1 as December 2, 2025–January 9, 2026, with Round 1 results sent January 20, 2026; Round 2 opened January 15, 2026 and is open through August 28, 2026. (stevens.jeffcopublicschools.org) After results are released, schools may continue sending offers as space becomes available; offers and waitlist updates are communicated by email/text, and families have three days to accept an offer (only one offer may be accepted). (stevens.jeffcopublicschools.org) Waitlists: Round 1 uses a lottery process, while Round 2 applications are added to the bottom of their priority group in the order received; the pages reference “priority groups” but do not publicly list the specific priority categories for Stevens on the enrollment pages themselves (they instead point to district enrollment policies). (jeffcopublicschools.org) After accepting an offer (or confirming a seat at the projected school), new students must upload required documentation in EnrollJeffco (guardian photo ID, proof of the student’s identity such as a birth certificate/passport, immunization records, and proof of address); kindergarten age eligibility is 5 years old by October 1. Stevens Elementary partners with Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) School Age Child Care (SACC) to provide before- and after-activity-based student enrichment programming. The program’s goal is to provide a safe, happy, caring and structured environment where children ages five through 12 can build lifelong skills in recreation and social behavior. Students choose from age-appropriate activities such as art, drama, science, indoor/outdoor games, homework opportunities and quiet time.
