Capital City Public Charter School’s High School teaching approach is grounded in EL Education (Expeditionary Learning), emphasizing hands-on, real-world, project-based learning where students engage in “expeditions” that may include fieldwork, community service, and expert visits and culminate in public presentations/exhibitions. The school also highlights a whole-child, personalized model—supported by a small secondary program structure (about a 1:10 teacher-to-student ratio) and daily advising—intended to challenge and support each student while building strong community and character.
