Teaching Approach

Updated 7mo ago

Living Wisdom School describes its approach as an individualized, whole-child “Education for Life” model that develops students academically while also nurturing character, happiness, and practical life skills. The school says it teaches through small classes, close attention to each child’s physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual development, and a joyful, respectful classroom environment. It also emphasizes nonsectarian spiritual values such as kindness, empathy, honesty, and self-awareness as part of daily learning.

Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Living Wisdom School says families should first review the website and school-practices videos, then attend an Open House or information meeting before submitting the free online application. (livingwisdomschool.org) Required or specifically mentioned application materials include the application itself, school records and other pertinent information, plus a photo of the applicant; after submission, parents meet with the school director and the prospective student meets with the classroom teacher. (livingwisdomschool.org) Kindergarten applicants participate in a small-group visit, while 1st-8th grade applicants attend a shadow morning or day, and the school director also talks with the student’s current teacher. (livingwisdomschool.org) The clearest published timing is that acceptance letters go out in March; on the current admissions page the 2025-2026 open-house dates were listed as to be determined / next open house TBA, while an older open-house post listed Saturday, February 1, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. (livingwisdomschool.org) On the publicly available admissions pages I reviewed, I did not find a published waitlist policy or any stated admissions-priority categories; the financial page does add that if admitted, a signed contract and a non-refundable $1,500 enrollment fee are required to hold the student’s place.
