Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

For K–8, families apply by completing the school’s Admission/Enrollment Application form (PDF) and emailing the finished application to the school’s admissions contact; the school also encourages families to schedule a tour or shadow day by contacting the school office/admissions point person. (sjoa.org) For Preschool, families initiate the process by submitting the Preschool Admission Application (a Google form, requiring a Google account) and contacting the preschool for tours; the site states Preschool is now enrolling for the 2026/2027 school year. (sjoa.org) Key timing/eligibility includes that selection begins with the school’s “Early Bird registration date” each year (the policy does not publish a specific date), preschool applicants must be age 3 or 4, and kindergarten applicants must be age 5 by August 1 of the school year; the school also advertises “Walk-Thru Wednesdays” tour dates (Nov 12, Nov 19, Dec 3, Dec 10; year not specified on the page). (sjoa.org) Application requirements listed on the K–8 form include a nonrefundable registration fee plus birth certificate, immunization records, baptismal certificate (if Catholic), and (for transfer students) prior report cards/standardized test scores, with the admissions policy also noting conferences/records review and possible entrance testing for some transfers. (files.ecatholic.com) If a student is not selected, they are automatically placed on a waitlist for that school year only, and openings are offered using the same priority order: current students first, then Catholic children of participating parishioners (especially siblings of current students/graduates), followed by Catholic children of non-participating parishioners and other Catholics, and then non-Catholic children; ties are broken by parish registration date for the top categories and by application date for later categories.
