Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Our Shepherd Lutheran School asks families to begin by exploring the school program, scheduling a tour with the Admissions Coordinator, and then completing an online application (with a $30 non‑refundable application fee for new students paid online). After the application is received, the admissions office processes the information (and may contact a prior school if needed) and then sends an enrollment packet, which must be completed before a student is officially enrolled. Requirements include providing a birth certificate and immunization record; early childhood/kindergarten applicants must be age-eligible by August 1 of the school year (age 3 for early childhood, age 5 for kindergarten) and toilet trained, and first-time students must complete a home language study in the application. For grades 1–8, families may need to submit IEP/504 documentation (if applicable), and prospective students complete a shadow day (half day for elementary; full day for middle school, with screening tests if needed). Key timing notes listed include that students may be admitted after the start of the school year through February 1 as space allows; the website does not describe a waitlist process or any priority admission categories.
