Hoosier Road Elementary (Hamilton Southeastern Schools) enrolls students primarily based on district residency and your home address; families use the district boundary/assignment map to confirm the correct school before enrolling. (hre.hseschools.org) Residents may enroll at any time during the school year by creating/using a Skyward Family Access account and completing the district’s online enrollment steps (determine assigned school, gather documents, create account, then submit the application). (hre.hseschools.org) Enrollment document requirements include a state-issued birth certificate, parent/guardian photo ID, proof of guardianship/custody (if applicable), three proofs of residency, and current immunization records; documents can be uploaded online or scanned at the school if needed. (hre.hseschools.org) Key dates (2026–2027): kindergarten enrollment opens January 20, 2026; students must be age 5 by August 1, 2026, and early-entrance requests (turning 5 by September 30, 2026) require an application submitted during February 1–August 1, 2026 for review/assessment. (hre.hseschools.org) HSE preschool is offered at Hoosier Road Elementary; for 2026–2027, preschool applications are accepted February 13–20, 2026 (space limited), and families are emailed next steps if a classroom spot is offered. (hre.hseschools.org) Families outside HSE boundaries must use the Non-Resident Transfer process (including eligibility expectations such as Indiana residency and behavior/attendance history); applications submitted February 27–April 17, 2026 receive priority consideration (status by May 8), later applications are reviewed rolling first-come/first-served until January 15, 2027, and capacity-limited applicants are placed on a waitlist and contacted if seats open.
