Admissions

Oak Trace Elementary (Westfield Washington Schools) directs families to the district’s online New Student Registration (InfoSnap) for students new to the district and/or entering kindergarten; you can also use the district’s interactive boundary map to confirm your assigned school based on address. (ote.wws.k12.in.us) Registration requires submitting documents such as an Indiana driver’s license/state ID with an in-district address, housing documentation (deed/lease/etc.), a current utility bill, the child’s original birth certificate, and immunization records (plus custody/IEP/504/ILP documents if applicable). (wws.k12.in.us) For kindergarten eligibility, the child must have a legal residence in Westfield Washington Schools and be age 5 on or before August 1 for the coming school year; incoming kindergarteners must also complete a ~20-minute readiness screening, with screening sign-ups/dates varying by school (Oak Trace uses a school-specific signup link). (wws.k12.in.us) The district notes there is no competition or waitlist for registration (“room for everyone”), but encourages registering as soon as possible for planning. (wws.k12.in.us) No special priority categories are described for admission beyond being an eligible in-district resident assigned by attendance boundaries; key dated items mentioned on the registration page are for optional programs (e.g., summer program enrollment opens March 2 at 6 a.m., and before/after care enrollment for new families opens May 6 at 6 a.m.).
