Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

For the upcoming school year, families apply after the March 1 open-enrollment date by submitting the New Family application packet to the school office (or scanning/emailing it); for enrollment during the current school year, the March 1 date does not apply but class availability must be confirmed. (mooresvillechristian.org) Once the paperwork/fee are received, MCA schedules a parent/student meeting/interview and may administer entrance testing (commonly math and language arts) to evaluate academic readiness and spiritual fit; middle/high school applicants may also be required to submit a written personal testimony and an essay. (mooresvillechristian.org) Requirements listed across MCA materials include completed admission forms/agreements (e.g., Statement of Faith/Cooperation), pastor recommendation, immunization record and birth certificate, and prior school records (e.g., report card/grades and possibly achievement test results), with admissions criteria also referencing items like parent testimony, academics, and behavior history (including a stated 2.5 GPA minimum in the application packet). (mooresvillechristian.org) During open enrollment, applications are reviewed and families are notified by email with an acceptance/denial/waitlist decision (the application packet notes emails may be sent by the 15th of each month), and accepted families are directed to set up a FACTS account for tuition/payment and participate in orientation before school begins. (mooresvillechristian.org) If a class is full, MCA starts a waiting list; the handbook states current students get first opportunity to re-enroll for the next year, remaining seats are prioritized by date of application, and if no space is available the application fee is refunded in full.
