Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Families begin by submitting an inquiry form (or registering for an admissions event) to gain access to Heritage Christian School’s Admissions Portal, where they complete an application checklist and pay a $75 non-refundable application fee before the application is reviewed. Key dates: for early decision, applications (and all checklist items) are due November 1; assessments/interviews are scheduled through December 12; decisions are communicated by December 15; and enrollment is offered February 15–25 (new families typically have 10 days to complete enrollment). Regular decision applications submitted after November 1 are reviewed on a rolling basis for remaining seats, and accepted students generally have 10 calendar days to enroll; applications are accepted until openings are filled. Requirements include at least one parent/guardian professing faith in Jesus Christ and aligning with the school’s Statement of Faith and core values, plus academic standards (including a minimum 2.5 GPA and testing proficiency); grades 5–12 must submit attendance/discipline reports, grades 7–12 applicants must share their faith story/desire to attend, and students with IEP/504 must upload current documentation and evaluations for review. If enrollment is not offered at the early decision date, a student may be placed in a “waitpool” and later offered a seat as availability opens; if a grade level is full, the school may also offer a wait list, and seats are not held until acceptance and the non-refundable enrollment fee is paid. Priority for available seats is stated as: children of faculty/staff first, then new students from existing HCS families, then families new to HCS.
