Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Families are encouraged to start by visiting (tour/admissions event) and then apply through The Oaks Academy’s online application portal (Veracross), which includes a $50 non‑refundable application fee. (theoaksacademy.org) Applications open October 1 each year, with an Early Decision deadline of December 1 and a Regular Decision deadline of March 1; after March 1, admission decisions are made on a rolling basis as space allows. (theoaksacademy.org) Required materials/steps include documents such as a birth certificate and immunization records (and prior school records in some cases) plus an admissions assessment: a 45–60 minute readiness assessment for Pre‑K–1, and the NWEA Admissions Assessment for grades 2–8 (testing may be waived based on prior standardized results). (theoaksacademy.org) The school notes that Early Decision applicants are notified by mid‑to‑late January and Regular Decision applicants are notified in April. (theoaksacademy.org) The Oaks uses a “wait pool” (especially for Pre‑K, Kindergarten, and 6th grade) for qualified applicants when seats aren’t available; it is ordered by the date the application becomes complete, does not carry over year to year, and the admissions pages reviewed do not list separate priority categories beyond this completed-date ordering.
