Admissions

Updated 6mo ago

Dunwoody Christian School’s public admissions materials say families should start by scheduling a tour/open house and then submit the online application; after applying, DCS says it schedules a student assessment and family interview, and an indexed admissions page also lists a records request, student shadow day, and parent meeting as parts of the process. (admissions.dunwoodycs.org) Application materials requested on the site include a birth certificate, Georgia Forms 3300 and 3231 (or 2208), recent report cards/progress reports, readiness or behavioral documents if applicable, a teacher/school-director referral, and a pastor/deacon/small-group-leader recommendation for the parent or guardian. (dunwoodychristianschool.org) Publicly stated requirements include that at least one parent living with the child be a professing Christian, agree in writing to the school’s Statement of Faith and Parent/School Covenant, meet age cutoffs for entry (Pre-K4/Young 5s must be 4 by September 1; kindergarten must be 5 before September 1), and have no unresolved school-discipline history. (dunwoodychristianschool.org) For timing, the current tuition/financial-aid page says both the FACTS aid application and the DCS admission application should be submitted by February 1, with aid decisions to new families typically communicated by March 3; the admissions page also still shows January 28, 2026 and February 19, 2026 as open-house dates, which are already past as of March 26, 2026. (dunwoodychristianschool.org) I did not find any publicly posted waitlist procedure or formal admissions-priority categories on the school’s website; the closest related public signal is that tuition/re-enrollment materials discuss deadlines for returning families and new siblings, but they do not present these as an explicit admissions-priority policy.
