Admissions

Updated 7mo ago

Southeastern Elementary (SES) follows Hamilton Southeastern Schools’ residential enrollment process: first use your home address with the district’s school-boundary map to confirm your assigned school, then enroll through Skyward (new families request a temporary Skyward account; existing families add a student via Skyward Family Access). (ses.hseschools.org) Required items to complete enrollment include a state-issued birth certificate, parent/guardian photo ID, custody/guardianship paperwork if applicable, three proofs of residency, and current immunization records (uploads can be done by scanner or phone, or documents can be scanned at school if needed). (ses.hseschools.org) Key dates/eligibility noted on the enrollment page include: kindergarten requires the child to be age 5 on/before August 1, 2026; early-entrance kindergarten and early-entrance first grade applications open February 1, 2026 and close August 1, 2026; and HSE Preschool enrollment for 2026–2027 is listed as opening February 13 and closing February 20. (ses.hseschools.org) Due to capacity, SES is listed as closed to new K–4 enrollment for 2024–2025 (as of January 30, 2025) and closed to kindergarten enrollment for 2025–2026 (as of March 14, 2025), with new SES-area enrollees being redirected to other schools (e.g., Fall Creek Elementary for grades 1–4 and kindergarten for 2025–2026). (ses.hseschools.org) The page does not describe a waitlist process or any formal priority categories for SES admissions beyond residency/assigned-school rules and the capacity-closure procedures described.
