Teaching Approach
Updated 8mo ago
Pace’s approach is girl-centered, creating safe, gender-responsive learning environments where girls can build trusting relationships and develop autonomy. Instruction is individualized and strengths-based, paired with individual and group counseling that focuses on each girl’s unique talents and positive attributes. The program is also trauma-informed, recognizing trauma as a root cause of harmful behaviors and prioritizing supportive spaces, trained staff, and long-term relationships (including support after Pace).
