Washington New Church School frames education as developing the “heart, head, and hands”—cultivating loving affections, growing wisdom, and practicing good actions through service. They emphasize a safe, nurturing environment that motivates learning, teach academics and the Bible through a spiritual lens, and meet each child where they are developmentally and academically. Students are guided toward usefulness and self-discipline through daily responsibilities and community-minded habits.

WNCS’s admissions steps are: schedule a school tour (they direct families to contact Bonnie Cowley by phone or email), then meet with the pastor (a parents-only meeting about the church’s teachings that underpin the curriculum). (wncschool.org) Next, families submit the application with the nonrefundable $300 application fee and provide prior school records; the site also links a Record Request Consent Form for requesting records from previous schools. (wncschool.org) The student then completes testing/assessment at the school, followed by an academic interview with the principal; acceptance is communicated after that meeting. (wncschool.org) Key dates/discounts shown on the website include an application discount deadline written as “April 31st” (note: April 31 is not a real calendar date) and also language that the discount applies to applications received before May 31, plus a separate tuition-payment discount if at least 20% is paid by August 10; confirm exact deadlines directly with the school due to these inconsistencies across pages/forms. (wncschool.org) The website pages reviewed do not describe a waitlist process or any priority admissions categories, so you would need to ask the admissions contact whether (and how) they use waitlists or prioritized enrollment. Our Aftercare program is designed to provide a safe, enriching time which gives children opportunity for snack, homework, and play. If the weather is good, children will often spend this time outside. Aftercare providers are vetted by the WNCS Principal and School Board and must pass a background check. The aftercare provider is the direct point of contact for parents/guardians using the program, but she/he reports to the school principal.
